My passion is
capturing
moments
that remain.
This is me.
- ... rinkside seven years in the DEL2 – gear up, world blurred out, nothing but the shot right in front of me.
- … chasing goosebumps (a lot of them) as an accredited photographer at the IIHF World Championship 2026 in Zurich.
- … seeing my Hands of Hockey series from Zurich published in the hockey magazine DUMP & CHASE. Yes, in print. Goosebumps again.
- … capturing the emotions on the ice – the players, the referees, the staff, the fans going absolutely wild in the stands. And, of course, these quiet off-ice moments.
- ... thousands of pictures, many hours of editing (worth every one), and so many moments that remain. That's what I'm here for.
Beyond the action,
beyond the score,
there is a moment
where emotion
becomes timeless.
I don't just capture
what happens,
I capture what remains.
HANDS OF HOCKEY
The project of my heart.
HANDS OF HOCKEY is a curated journey through the emotional anatomy of the sport. It documents the unnoticed frequency of hands during a game – from the tactics board to the cold authority of the referee and the battle of the players on the ice to the raw “goosebumps” of a fan clutching his scarf. Finally: all hands on the cup!
The series represents my evolution from a documentary sports photographer to a visual storyteller. It combines the technical routine of professional league play with a minimalist, high-contrast black-and-white aesthetic, using only hands to create the connection that unites the hockey world.
And the project keeps growing, game by game. At the IIHF World Championship 2026 in Zurich, the series got its biggest stage so far and a selection of the Zurich shots was published in the hockey magazine DUMP & CHASE.
The pictures meant for you will always find you. No matter where you are.
